One Day in Cincinnati Itinerary
Start Your Day with Breakfast at Maplewood Kitchen & Bar
In my opinion, one of the best breakfast places in Cincinnati is Maplewood Kitchen & Bar.
I recommend the Maplewood Hash – it is delicious!
Walk Over the John A Roebling Suspension Bridge
Following breakfast, take a walk across the iconic John A Roebling Suspension Bridge which is a popular thing to do in Cincinnati!
The bridge connects Cincinnati to Covington, Kentucky, offering views of the Ohio River along the way.
Once you have reached Covington, take a short walk to Roebling Point Books & Cafe to browse books at this independent bookstore.

Grab a Coffee at Black Coffee Lounge
The Black Coffee Lounge is one of my favorite coffee shops in Cincinnati.
I highly recommend trying the “woah” latte if you like sweeter coffee.
It is a vanilla and caramel latte, and it was amazing!

Attend the City Flea at Washington Park
If you happen to be in town while The City Flea is going on, don’t miss the opportunity to explore Washington Park and its array of vendors!
There are numerous vendors featuring small boutiques, arts & crafts, and more.
I got two super cool embroidered sweatshirts from Relic 96!

When it comes to booking guided tours and excursions, my top pick is Get Your Guide!
Spend Some Time Exploring the Over the Rhine Neighborhood
Cincinnati’s Over the Rhine neighborhood has great independent stores and boutiques along Main Street that you can browse.
Here are a few gems to check out:
- Check out From the Sidewalk for cool sneakers and vintage clothing
- Grab unique flavored popcorn at Al’s Delicious Popcorn
- Browse the art supplies at Indigo Hippo. This store is super unique as they offer pay-what-you-can pricing and operate as an arts supply thrift store & creative reuse center. It is worth the time to check out and support!
After your shopping is done, take a walk along Vine Street to admire the historic buildings in this charming neighborhood.

Explore Findlay Market & Grab Lunch
Browse all of the offerings in Findlay Market from the various vendors – featuring gelato, coffee, plants, fresh meat & produce, and more.
Check out the merchants list here.

Treat yourself to a refreshing acai bowl or smoothie at Banasun Smoothie Bar on 1810 Race Street which is conveniently located right across from Findlay Market.

Don’t miss trying the infamous banana pudding at Makers Bakers Co. It is super yummy!

Shop for vintage sweatshirts at The Daily Vintage on 1810 Elm Street which is close to Findlay Market!
In the back of the store, there are racks of vintage sweatshirts and graphic t-shirts.
Go Mural Hunting Around Cincinnati
Cincinnati has several cool murals scattered throughout the city!
To make your mural-hunting adventure easier, ArtsWorks Cincinnati has created a map of the murals in Cincinnati.

Visit the American Sign Museum
Check out over a century of American Sign history at the American Sign Museum.
Here, you will see a wide array of signs, from old-time movie billboards to neon signs and more.
It’s a truly unique experience!
Dinner at The Eagle
To end your day, grab dinner at The Eagle which is a great casual restaurant in Cincinnati located in the Over the Rhine neighborhood.
My personal favorites are the grilled cheese sandwich with chicken, the southern chopped salad, and their fries served with a side of aioli!

Conclusion
As you can see, there is a lot you can do with just one day in Cincinnati, making it the perfect city for a day trip in the Midwest.
From great places to eat, iconic bridges, and unique vintage finds, there are so many fun things to do in Cincinnati!
