Known for its soft white sands and clear waters, Kamaole Beach Park II is the perfect beach for families in Kihei.
This beach offers excellent swimming conditions and is well-equipped with facilities such as picnic areas, showers, and restrooms.
Its gentle waves make it ideal for snorkeling, paddleboarding, or simply relaxing on the beach.
Keawakapu Beach
Renowned for its long stretch of golden sands and calm waters, Keawakapu Beach is a great beach for relaxation.
It’s an excellent spot for swimming, snorkeling around the rocky outcrops, or taking walks along the shore.
Ulua Beach
Considered a hidden gem, Ulua Beach offers fantastic snorkeling opportunities, especially around its rocky areas where you are bound to find some cool marine life.
The beach offers a more secluded atmosphere compared to some others in Kihei, making it an ideal place for those seeking a quieter beach experience.
The soft sands, gentle waves, and easily accessible facilities make Ulua Beach a great beach for a relaxing day.

2. Snorkeling at Molokini Crater
During our trip to Maui, we chose to snorkel with Seafire Charters, and I highly recommend it!
The trip kicked off from the convenient Kihei Boat Ramp, just a short drive from our Airbnb in Kihei.
We opted for the ‘Seafire Charters Morning Molokini Crater/Turtle Town Snorkel’ which was approximately 3 hours in length.
The guides were not only knowledgeable but also incredibly friendly, which made us feel entirely at ease.
From spotting sea turtles to encountering colorful fish, a water eel, and even a baby octopus, it was an absolute highlight of the things in Kihei, Maui we did on our trip!

Aloha Thai Fusion Food Truck
We frequented the Aloha Thai Fusion food truck several times during our trip to Maui!
It was definitely one of our favorite food trucks in Kihei. I highly recommend the pad Thai!

Kraken Coffee Food Truck
Kraken Coffee food truck was a great spot for us to grab a coffee during our trip!
It was located in an area surrounded by other food trucks, and there were several shaded picnic tables where you could sit and enjoy your coffee and food.
I highly recommend their Haleakalatte (a caramel latte).
Kinaole Grill Food Truck
Kinaole Grill food truck was another one of our top favorites offering up some delicious seafood!
Their garlic shrimp is a must try.

At the Kihei Farmer’s Market, you’ll experience an outdoor market offering fresh produce and goods from local farmers.
It’s the perfect spot for a leisurely morning, strolling along the stalls filled with fresh fruits, vegetables, and locally made treats.
Located in North Kihei, this market operates from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
25. Enjoy Some Shaved Ice
No trip to Maui is complete without enjoying some shaved ice!
On our trip to Maui, we frequented Peace Love Shave Ice almost every night of our trip, and I could not recommend it more! It was so delicious.
We went to the 1975 S Kihei Rd, Kihei, HI 96753 location.
Pro tip – you can add a scoop of ice cream to the bottom of your bowl! Macadamia Nut was my favorite.
